The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is set to recognize the winners of the 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers on 18 September 2024 at the Malacañan Palace.
No less than President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will lead the conferment of awards to the individual and group winners who have demonstrated exemplary performance, dedication, and innovation in their public service roles.
“The Awards Rites for the 2024 Outstanding Government Workers is a momentous occasion that highlights the remarkable talent and dedication within our public sector. As we celebrate the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, this event is an opportunity to acknowledge those who embody excellence and to inspire others to uphold the highest standards of service,” added CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
As part of the government’s rewards and incentives mechanism under the Honor Awards Program, the annual Search aims to recognize civil servants who have shown utmost dedication and commitment to their work, as well as inspire other state employees toward deeper involvement in public service.
There are three honor awards to be conferred, namely the Presidential Lingkod Bayan, the Outstanding Public Officials and Employees (Dangal ng Bayan), and the CSC Pagasa.
Six individuals and three groups will be conferred the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, a recognition granted to those who have made exceptional contributions through innovative ideas or impactful actions of national significance, particularly in the areas of public interest, security, and patrimony.
Ten individual winners from various government offices are set to receive the Outstanding Public Officials and Employees (Dangal ng Bayan) Award. This accolade is conferred on government employees who have demonstrated extraordinary acts of public service and consistent adherence to high ethical standards as outlined in Republic Act No. 6713, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
Finally, the CSC Pagasa Award, given to an individual or group of individuals for outstanding contributions that directly benefit more than one department of the government pursuant to Executive Order No. 292, s. 1987 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, will be conferred on eight individuals and one group winner.
The Awards Rites will be streamed live via the Radio Television Malacañang Facebook Page and CSC Facebook Page on 18 September 2024, 9 a.m.
