Love Wins in Santa Maria: 58 Couples Exchange Vows in Grand Mass Wedding
The heart of Santa Maria beat with romance recently as Mayor Julius Ramos presided over a heartwarming mass wedding ceremony, officially uniting 58 couples in matrimony. The event, held as a gift to the community, provided a free and meaningful platform for local pairs to legalize their unions and celebrate their love alongside their families.
Adding inspiration to the occasion was Dr. Donna May B. Gavina, Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs at PSU-Santa Maria Campus, who served as the guest of honor and keynote speaker. In her address, Dr. Gavina shared profound insights on the foundations of a strong marriage, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect, resilience, and lifelong partnership.
The “Kasalang Bayan” stands as a testament to the local government’s commitment to social welfare and the strengthening of the Filipino family unit.
The successful execution of this grand event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office, led by Ms. Susan Coleta. Their meticulous organization and preparation ensured that every couple experienced a seamless and memorable celebration of love.
Congratulations to all the newlywed couples!
