The FREE KASALANG BAYAN 2024 was held last February 14 2024 at the Public Auditorium.
The FREE KASALANG BAYAN 2024 was held last February 14, 2024 at the Public Auditorium. This event is celebrated every year to help our constituents specially those who belong to indigent families and live-in partners without the benefit of marriage, in order to experience a grand wedding celebration that the Local Government can offer. This is under the leadership of our very kind and energetic Local Chief Executive Honorable Mayor Julius Caducoy Ramos and the office of the Municipal Civil Registrar headed by Madam Susan G. Coleto.
In the past 13 years, our municipality has enjoined celebrating CIVIL REGISTRATION MONTH with the Philippine Static Authority emphasing this year’s Theme : CRVS : “THE FUTURE OF SEAMLESS SERVICES”. Both the PSA and the Civil Registrars’ Office of every city and municipality entire the Philippines are in one clear vision, that is to serve its populace the best, fastest and continuous delivery of service through computer based technology resulting to costumer’s satisfaction.
This impressive program of our Local Government was first initiated by our former Municipal Mayor, now our Vice Mayor Honorable Teodoro Alaquiao Ramos when he was elected as our Municipal Mayor in 2011 until his three terms in 2019. It is worthy to note that 67 couples participated the very first Kasalang Bayan in the history of Santa Maria.
God is so good because the next Mayor who won the Mayorality raise was his only son, Mayor Julius C. Ramos. He continues his father’s legacy with this novel program, The LIBRENG KASALANG BAYAN. Together they shared the same ideas and advocay in giving the best program of social services to our townspeople, branding them with the famous catch phrase slogan “BASTA RAMOS AYOS”.
We are so happy that through our diligent effort in going from house to house for the Mobile Application, the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar successfully encouraged fifty seven (57) excited participating couples, having the oldest couple Dominador B Osalla, 69 years old and Lydia De Vera Fernandez, 75 years old, both residents of residents of Barangay San Patricio wherein they were awarded in cash prize. All our received gifts from our Municipal Mayor and First Lady and special prizes were given to chosen couples who adhered to the office’s gimmicks. Likewise, they were provided with bouquets, corsages, wedding rings, cakes, veils, cords, arrhae and food packs, all free of charge.
Indeed, this is very remarkable accomplishment on the part of the Local Government and we owe this from a great leader with his generosity and good deeds for the people of Santa Maria, our indefatigable Mayor Julius C. Ramos, Municipal Vice Mayor Honorable Teodoro A. Ramos, Liga President Madam Maria Doriza Villa Ramos, Sangguniang Bayan Members, All Barangay Captains and councils, Barangay Health Workers and everybody who in one way unselfishly contributed to the success of this affair.
