Scholarship Program

• The LGU recognizes the right of each child to education thus the Santa Maria Scholarship Program shall be implemented. During the month of April, scholarship applications are accepted and processed by the Office of the Mayor. The qualifying examination and interview by the Scholarship Board shall be held on the 2nd week of May. Qualifiers shall be awarded Certificates of Scholarship for enrolment.
• Open to less fortunate and indigent students currently enrolled at PSU Sta. Maria and incoming freshmen of PSU Sta. Maria.
• List of Requirements are as follows:
• Letter of Application
• Certification form Punong Brgy. that the applicant is a bonafide resident of the Barangay for at least 1 year and has no derogatory records
• Form 138 (Gen Avg of 83%) no grade lower than 80%
• Form 138 for non-degree course
• Certification from High School Principal that the applicant is eligible

Special Education Program

• • The Local Government of Sta. Maria gives assistance to schools through provision of school supplies and improvement of school buildings.

Sports Programs and Activities

• • The Local Government unit of Sta. Maria conducts an Inter-Barangay Basketball Tournament that promotes the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. This is done yearly during town fiesta.
