CHARITOS GARDEN

One of the established local tourist destinations in Santa Maria is the CHARITOS GARDEN, owned and managed by the spouses Juanito Ordanza Jr. and Charito Parinas Ordanza, located in Barangay Paitan.

This spacious garden has a visually impressive view emphasizing its scenic landscaping displayed with amazing, potted and hanging assorted ornamental plants such as Bromeliad, Cactus, Ferns, Monstera and and alike. Indeed a perfect beautiful vista for picture taking to everyone.

 You can also see numerous varieties of Syngonium, Hoya, Alocasia, Calathea as their best sellers too.

ECO- TOURISM PARK

From the town proper, this vast green land can be reached via a 5-minute tricycle ride. For those not familiar with the area, walking into this serene park is like discovering a secret hiding place in the municipality. This place offers a scenic view of the Caraballo Mountains, the Narciso Bridge, and water pooled from the irrigation dams nearby making it an ideal spot for viewing the sunset. What was once a field of cogon grass has now been transformed to a recreation area wherein families can rent a bahay kubo for the day and set up for a picnic spree. Rows of trees provide shade from the heat of the sun, and a small bridge offers a view of the lagoon, which is sometimes teeming with fish.

EVELYN’S MUSHROOM

Another local tourist destination in our town is the Evelyn’s Mushrooms, owned by Dr. Evelyn Biñas Perico. It is located at Magilas Road in Barangay Cauplasan, Santa Maria Pangasinan.

With an area of 2,800 square meters, processing facilities were established such as mushroom laboratory and mushroom growers’ rooms or the so cold fruiting areas to fully support the operation of her newly ventured business which started in 2019, the same year when Dr. Evelyn closed her piggery because of the devastating African Swine Fever (ASF) that truly affected financially the entire hog raisers’ group in the municipality.

Starting from zero again, she tried to build this business knowing that mushroom is everybody’s favorite and known to be our town’s “OTOP”, the One Town One Product. She believes that this is not hard to cater to everyone not only here in Santa Maria but to nearby municipalities and provinces as well. With utmost enthusiasm, dedication and hard work Dr. Evelyn has succeeded in her determination to go along way.

Now, not only fresh mushrooms are offered to the customers but also famous mushroom products such as kropek, atsara, pickles, polvoron, chicharon, sisig, dinakdakan, spaghetti, tocino, kilawen, kimchi, and her best seller is the mushroom pizza with the most appetizing different flavors to choose from.

JMCI AGRIFARM

JMCI Agrifarm has been operating since 2019, owned and managed by Madam Cleofe L. Osita and Sir Ricardo C. Alarcio which is located along the highway of Barangay Cauplasan, Santa Maria, Pangasinan.

It has a total land area of 6,000 square meters with expansion of 5,000 square meters where wide varieties of grafted fruit bearing trees and farm – ready seedlings are displayed for the walk – in visitors. 

One thing that excites everyone is their “Pick and Pay” offer, which enable them to choose and have the best buys of varied vegetables, which freshness cannot be questioned for consumption.

From the homey ambiance, great service and very accommodating staff to palatable, mouth-watering yet affordable dishes and snacks, Nasya’s Farm: Eat-Jai-Bangkag Ni Nasya has the very best impressions of a restaurant proven by its customers’ reviews. 

Strategically located in Brgy. Sta. Rosa, Sta. Maria, Pangasinan, it only started as a small eatery on March 13, 2021 just to get by with the day-to-day expenses at the farm.
